# Remindly vs Visual reminders + widget

The clearest difference is update cadence: Visual reminders + widget at every 3 days against Remindly's every 13 months. Remindly's advantage is iOS requirement (14.1 vs 18.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remindly sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Visual reminders + widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remindly ships an update every 13 months, Visual reminders + widget every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
