# Barre Definition vs ShaktiRize

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ShaktiRize at none against Barre Definition's 3. Barre Definition's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 15 months). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Barre Definition sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month. ShaktiRize asks for nothing beyond the download.

Barre Definition holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Barre Definition has 2.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of Barre Definition's written reviews are positive against 100% of ShaktiRize's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Barre Definition ships an update monthly, ShaktiRize every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
