# VPN vs OfflineVideo

The clearest difference is ads: OfflineVideo at none against VPN's shown. OfflineVideo also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). VPN's advantage is ratings volume (79K vs 19) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and OfflineVideo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 79K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 43% of OfflineVideo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN ships an update every 2 months, OfflineVideo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
