# VPN vs iSharkVPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VPN at 79K against iSharkVPN's 13K. iSharkVPN's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 37%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and iSharkVPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN against 4.7 for iSharkVPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 79K ratings behind it against 13K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 37% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 46% of iSharkVPN's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
