# VPN vs The Nimbus

The clearest difference is ads: The Nimbus at none against VPN's shown. VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and The Nimbus sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN ships an update every 2 months, The Nimbus every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
