# VPN vs Hyper VPN

The clearest difference is ads: Hyper VPN at none against VPN's shown. Hyper VPN also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). VPN's advantage is ratings volume (79K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Hyper VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hyper VPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 79K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VPN ships an update every 2 months, Hyper VPN weekly. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
