# VPN vs AZNote

The clearest difference is ads: AZNote at none against VPN's shown. AZNote also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). VPN's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and AZNote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN ships an update every 2 months, AZNote every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
