# F.A.T vs Animation Sketch

The clearest difference is update cadence: F.A.T at daily against Animation Sketch's every 2 months. F.A.T also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). Animation Sketch's advantage is ratings volume (429 vs 52). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. F.A.T sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Animation Sketch sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Animation Sketch holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Animation Sketch has 429 ratings behind it against 52, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of F.A.T's written reviews are positive against 35% of Animation Sketch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

F.A.T ships an update daily, Animation Sketch every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
