# CatCarp Paper vs LiveNote

CatCarp Paper and LiveNote both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 77% of LiveNote's written reviews are positive against 56% of CatCarp Paper's. LiveNote also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). CatCarp Paper's advantage is ratings volume (227 vs 5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CatCarp Paper sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and LiveNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
