# Sahara Tracking vs Onic

The clearest difference is rating: Sahara Tracking at 4.8 against Onic's 3.8. Sahara Tracking also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Onic's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 0%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 17 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sahara Tracking holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Onic has 76 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Sahara Tracking's written reviews are positive against 36% of Onic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sahara Tracking ships an update every 17 months, Onic monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
