# Modernist vs MNTSTUDIO

Modernist and MNTSTUDIO both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Modernist's written reviews are positive against 67% of MNTSTUDIO's. Modernist also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 16.0). MNTSTUDIO's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (340 vs 8). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Modernist against 5.0 for MNTSTUDIO. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MNTSTUDIO has 340 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.
