# My FileManager vs File manager

My FileManager and File manager both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 61% of My FileManager's written reviews are positive against 30% of File manager's. My FileManager also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 720). File manager's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My FileManager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and File manager sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for My FileManager against 4.5 for File manager. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My FileManager has 17K ratings behind it against 720, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of My FileManager's written reviews are positive against 30% of File manager's.

My FileManager ships an update fortnightly, File manager every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
