# My FileManager vs File Managers

My FileManager and File Managers both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 61% of My FileManager's written reviews are positive against 20% of File Managers's. My FileManager also leads on ratings volume (17K vs 323) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). File Managers's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My FileManager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and File Managers sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My FileManager holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My FileManager has 17K ratings behind it against 323, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of My FileManager's written reviews are positive against 20% of File Managers's.

My FileManager ships an update fortnightly, File Managers every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
