# Parrot vs Virtual Slime

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Virtual Slime at 88% against Parrot's 50%. Virtual Slime also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (121K vs 55). Parrot's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parrot sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Virtual Slime sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Virtual Slime holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Slime has 121K ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
