# HOPE 1079 vs EKKL

The clearest difference is rating: EKKL at 4.8 against HOPE 1079's 3.9. EKKL also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 14). HOPE 1079's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EKKL holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EKKL has 1.2K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of HOPE 1079's written reviews are positive against 66% of EKKL's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HOPE 1079 ships an update every 18 months, EKKL every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
