# Joylog vs Gazing

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Joylog at 100% against Gazing's 19%. Joylog also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 21) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Gazing's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gazing sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Joylog asks for nothing beyond the download.

Gazing holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gazing has 2.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Joylog's written reviews are positive against 19% of Gazing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Joylog ships an update every 4 months, Gazing every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
