# Joylog vs Ecovox

Joylog and Ecovox both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Joylog's written reviews are positive against 44% of Ecovox's. Joylog also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Ecovox's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (28 vs 5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Joylog against 3.9 for Ecovox. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ecovox has 28 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Joylog's written reviews are positive against 44% of Ecovox's.

Joylog ships an update every 4 months, Ecovox every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
