# Spark vs Ajar Mic

The clearest difference is rating: Spark at 4.8 against Ajar Mic's 3.7. Spark also leads on ratings volume (25K vs 3). Ajar Mic's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 55%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spark sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ajar Mic sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spark holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spark has 25K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Spark's written reviews are positive against 67% of Ajar Mic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
