# Today Task vs DeskDays

The clearest difference is rating: DeskDays at 5.0 against Today Task's 4.4. DeskDays also leads on ads (none vs shown). Today Task's advantage is ratings volume (47 vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Today Task sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and DeskDays sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DeskDays holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Today Task has 47 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Today Task ships an update monthly, DeskDays every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
