# Itron Field Tools vs RMLD

The clearest difference is rating: RMLD at 4.3 against Itron Field Tools's 1.9. RMLD also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Itron Field Tools's advantage is review sentiment (17% vs 0%) and ratings volume (48 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RMLD holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Itron Field Tools has 48 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Itron Field Tools's written reviews are positive against 0% of RMLD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
