# Midnight Man vs Hide My Proof

The clearest difference is rating: Hide My Proof at 4.5 against Midnight Man's 2.8. Hide My Proof also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 12). Midnight Man's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 13%) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hide My Proof sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Midnight Man asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hide My Proof holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hide My Proof has 12K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Midnight Man's written reviews are positive against 13% of Hide My Proof's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Midnight Man ships an update every 4 days, Hide My Proof every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
