# My Barometer and Altimeter vs Range Vision

The clearest difference is rating: My Barometer and Altimeter at 4.4 against Range Vision's 3.4. My Barometer and Altimeter also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 18) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Range Vision's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Barometer and Altimeter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Range Vision asks for nothing beyond the download.

My Barometer and Altimeter holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Barometer and Altimeter has 1.1K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of My Barometer and Altimeter's written reviews are positive against 38% of Range Vision's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
