# Melon VPN vs VPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VPN at 55K against Melon VPN's 5.7K. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Melon VPN sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Melon VPN against 4.6 for VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 55K ratings behind it against 5.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 76% and 75% positive.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
