# Wallpapers vs Live Wallpaper

The clearest difference is rating: Live Wallpaper at 4.6 against Wallpapers's 4.2. Wallpapers's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 201). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wallpapers sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Live Wallpaper sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Live Wallpaper holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wallpapers has 1.8K ratings behind it against 201, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wallpapers ships an update fortnightly, Live Wallpaper every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
