# Canoo vs TripTrax

Canoo and TripTrax both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of TripTrax's written reviews are positive against 48% of Canoo's. TripTrax also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Canoo's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (334 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TripTrax sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Canoo asks for nothing beyond the download.

TripTrax holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canoo has 334 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Canoo's written reviews are positive against 100% of TripTrax's.

Canoo ships an update every 2 weeks, TripTrax every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
