# Files vs Any

The clearest difference is ads: Files at none against Any's shown. Files also leads on review sentiment (36% vs 20%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). Any's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Files sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year and Any sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Any holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 59 and 154 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Files's written reviews are positive against 20% of Any's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Files ships an update fortnightly, Any every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
