# Flex vs Aptexx

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flex at 79% against Aptexx's 20%. Flex also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months). Aptexx's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Flex holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flex has 519K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Flex's written reviews are positive against 20% of Aptexx's.

Flex ships an update weekly, Aptexx every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
