# DocScan vs 9amla

The clearest difference is ratings volume: DocScan at 85 against 9amla's 1. DocScan also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). 9amla's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DocScan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and 9amla sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
