# Hippo vs Remena

The clearest difference is update cadence: Remena at every 2 weeks against Hippo's monthly. Remena also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hippo sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Remena sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hippo ships an update monthly, Remena every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
