# Hippo vs Listello

The clearest difference is update cadence: Listello at every 4 days against Hippo's every 5 weeks. Listello also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hippo sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Listello sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hippo ships an update every 5 weeks, Listello every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
