# iDay vs Washing Machine Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Washing Machine Timer at every 3 weeks against iDay's every 2 months. Washing Machine Timer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iDay sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Washing Machine Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iDay ships an update every 2 months, Washing Machine Timer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
