# SOMM TV vs NVWA Online E

The clearest difference is monetization model: NVWA Online E at free against SOMM TV's subscription. SOMM TV's advantage is ratings volume (452 vs 1) and chart position (#87 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SOMM TV sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and NVWA Online E sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for SOMM TV against 5.0 for NVWA Online E. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SOMM TV has 452 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
