# Lightpost vs Discreet

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lightpost at none against Discreet's 1. Lightpost also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). Discreet's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Discreet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Lightpost asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lightpost ships an update every 3 months, Discreet fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
