# Timemator vs Rocket Typist

The clearest difference is rating: Timemator at 4.7 against Rocket Typist's 4.1. Timemator also leads on ratings volume (169 vs 24) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). Rocket Typist's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (73% vs 63%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timemator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Rocket Typist sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timemator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timemator has 169 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Timemator's written reviews are positive against 73% of Rocket Typist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timemator ships an update every 2 months, Rocket Typist fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
