# Timemator vs MindCastle

The clearest difference is update cadence: MindCastle at every 3 weeks against Timemator's every 2 months. Timemator's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timemator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MindCastle sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.29 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timemator ships an update every 2 months, MindCastle every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
