# WeatherSentry vs ThorAlert

The clearest difference is rating: ThorAlert at 3.8 against WeatherSentry's 3.3. ThorAlert also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). WeatherSentry's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (38 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ThorAlert holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeatherSentry has 38 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.
