# All Access Games vs Runes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Runes at 83% against All Access Games's 29%. Runes also leads on rating (4.5 vs 2.8) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). All Access Games's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. All Access Games sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Runes sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Runes holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Runes has 576 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of All Access Games's written reviews are positive against 83% of Runes's.

All Access Games ships an update fortnightly, Runes every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
