# MyGpsMobile vs xIoT

The clearest difference is update cadence: xIoT at every 3 months against MyGpsMobile's every 22 months. MyGpsMobile's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyGpsMobile ships an update every 22 months, xIoT every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
