# Garage TV vs Hippiix

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hippiix at free with in-app purchases against Garage TV's subscription. Garage TV's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Garage TV sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Hippiix sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Garage TV against 5.0 for Hippiix. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

Garage TV ships an update every 3 months, Hippiix every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
