# Vantech V3 vs Vietmap REC

The clearest difference is rating: Vietmap REC at 3.3 against Vantech V3's 2.0. Vietmap REC also leads on ratings volume (26 vs 2). Vantech V3's advantage is review sentiment (10% vs 0%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vietmap REC holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vietmap REC has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Vantech V3's written reviews are positive against 0% of Vietmap REC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vantech V3 ships an update monthly, Vietmap REC every 2 months. Both last shipped on September 29, 2026.
