# House Stack vs Meow Tower

The clearest difference is ads: House Stack at none against Meow Tower's shown. House Stack also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Meow Tower's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 221) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. House Stack sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Meow Tower sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Meow Tower holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Meow Tower has 17K ratings behind it against 221, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of House Stack's written reviews are positive against 93% of Meow Tower's.

House Stack ships an update every 6 weeks, Meow Tower every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
