# Test 118 vs IRC

The clearest difference is update cadence: IRC at every 5 months against Test 118's every 12 months. Test 118's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Test 118 ships an update every 12 months, IRC every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
