# MX Player vs Conflux

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Conflux at 74% against MX Player's 34%. Conflux also leads on device support (5 vs 3). MX Player's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (4.3K vs 67). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MX Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Conflux sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MX Player holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MX Player has 4.3K ratings behind it against 67, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of MX Player's written reviews are positive against 74% of Conflux's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
