# Gotcha vs Spin Wheel

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Gotcha at none against Spin Wheel's 15. Gotcha also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Spin Wheel's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spin Wheel sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Gotcha asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spin Wheel holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 221 and 411 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Gotcha's written reviews are positive against 68% of Spin Wheel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gotcha ships an update every 2 months, Spin Wheel fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
