# LazyBoard vs PBoard

The clearest difference is monetization model: PBoard at free with in-app purchases against LazyBoard's subscription. PBoard also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 72%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16). LazyBoard's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 15 months) and rating (4.4 vs 4.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LazyBoard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and PBoard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LazyBoard holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LazyBoard has 588 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of LazyBoard's written reviews are positive against 100% of PBoard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LazyBoard ships an update fortnightly, PBoard every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
