# Noto vs Pathline

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pathline at none against Noto's 3. Pathline also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 weeks). Noto's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Noto sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Pathline asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pathline holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Noto has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Noto ships an update every 4 weeks, Pathline every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
