# ManhattanNow vs Platters

ManhattanNow and Platters both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Platters's written reviews are positive against 31% of ManhattanNow's. Platters also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). ManhattanNow's advantage is ratings volume (2.3K vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 11 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Platters holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ManhattanNow has 2.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of ManhattanNow's written reviews are positive against 100% of Platters's.

ManhattanNow ships an update every 4 months, Platters every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
