# Good Mic vs Microphone

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Good Mic at none against Microphone's 8. Good Mic also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.3). Microphone's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.8). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microphone sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Good Mic asks for nothing beyond the download.

Microphone holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 64 and 106 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Good Mic's written reviews are positive against 43% of Microphone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
