# Secure Folder vs Lock app

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lock app at 100% against Secure Folder's 65%. Secure Folder's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Folder sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Lock app sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
