# LED Ally vs Upgrado

The clearest difference is rating: LED Ally at 3.1 against Upgrado's 2.0. LED Ally also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Upgrado's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 19%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LED Ally holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 23 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of LED Ally's written reviews are positive against 31% of Upgrado's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LED Ally ships an update every 3 weeks, Upgrado every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
